TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Last edit: 05/16/2023

The following Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) outline Ruff Hikers LLC (“we”, “our” or “the Company”) practices and apply to the use of this website and upon registering a dog (“your dog”) for our services. WE ADVISE YOU TO CAREFULLY READ THROUGH THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, which may be modified from time to time. These Terms shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York.

SAFETY

You must consult with your veterinarian to assure your dog’s health is adequate for our services. Certain breeds, such as those with shortened snouts, experience greater challenges that can impact their performance and carry a greater risk for heat strokes during strenuous exercise and in high temperatures. It’s crucial to understand your dog’s needs and to stay informed of the day’s conditions to make the right decision in sending your dog. We have the right to refuse services if we believe it to be a danger to the dog, but ultimately, it is your responsibility to make this decision.

Your dog must be up to date on all required vaccinations. You must inform us of any preexisting health conditions your dog has upon registering them and notify of any new ones that arise before continuing our services.

There are risks associated with our services that exist beyond our control. These risks include, but are not limited to, wildlife encounters (such as falcons, snakes, and bears), tick borne diseases, insect bites, poisonous vegetation, bacteria and possible injury from terrain. There are also other dogs and people outside of Ruff Hikers LLC that hike on these trails.

If you opt in for off-leash services, you understand and accept the risk of your dog running away. We take all the precautions to ensure a safe off-leash experience with the use of our tracking collars, but we cannot guarantee a successful search and rescue. All dogs must have an ID tag on them.

Ruff Hikers LLC is not liable for any loss, injuries or death that may occur from engaging in our services and is not a direct result of negligence on our part. You must acknowledge these risks and agree to not hold us accountable.

PAYMENT

By partaking in our services, you are required to pay! Invoices are sent on the last day of each month. The rate per hike is based on the number of hikes (per dog) in the billing cycle. All payments are due within 30 days of the invoice. A failure to submit your payment on time will result in a suspension of services and an additional $50 late payment fee will be added towards your next bill.

CANCELLATION & REFUND

We understand that plans are subject to change, but please give us 48 hours advance notice. Hiking spots are limited and a failure to cancel within the time frame inhibits other dogs from joining in on the fun. Late cancellations will be charged a cancellation fee of $25.

Excessive cancellations may result in the termination of services.

If a hike is cancelled by us (due to the weather or for any other reason) you will be notified as soon as possible and (obviously) won't be charged for it. It will, however, be included towards the monthly count rate (making you possibly qualify for the lower rate).

There are NO REFUNDS.
